I wanted to get into film. Film Connection told me that if I complete their course I would be fully equipped to work in film. I completed the 6-month course and now I am working in film. It’s that simple. Listen, study, work your butt off and if you have enough hunger to succeed then you will. Thank you www.filmconnection.com.

I was privileged enough to complete my six-month mentor-apprentice program with Film Connection 6 years ago and it was THE best decision I have made…. ever. What I learned prepared me for work in movies. It also taught me such things as spotting and making minor repairs. It taught me two other crucial things: how to work on my own initiative and also how to work as part of a team. These two things are vital if you wish to make it in film. I am so glad that I enrolled as it has made a huge difference in my life. Thank you so much www.filmconnection.com.

I have just begun my mentor-apprentice program with Film Connection and I have to say that so far I am extremely pleased with my decision. In the 5 short weeks I have been on the course I have learned so much. My mentor Bryce really knows his stuff and the fact that he is more than happy to pass on this knowledge on really humbles me. I don’t think I could have found a more perfect trainer. I know I still have a ways to go before I would even consider myself worthy enough to work in a professional film set but with Bryce’s help I am confident that I soon will be. Thank you www.filmconnection.com.

I’m about to complete my mentor-apprentice program with Film Connection and I have to say that it was well worth it. Not just because of what I have learned, but also because of how it has changed me. It has made me a lot more business minded and also made me a lot more focused. I now have clear goals and targets instead of merely coasting along. I have begun working at a small studio near home, but I plan to have my own studio one day very soon. I would like to help others as my mentor helped me. I really would like to say thank you www.filmconnection.com.

Two years ago I completed my mentor-apprentice program with Film Connection and it has made a huge difference in my life. My juvenile, childish ways have been replaced by pride in my job and camaraderie. I have learned that it is important to be part of a team and to take responsibility for ones own actions. I definitely matured during this course, my friends and family with vouch for that. This 2 ½ years has been a real learning experience for me, one that I am thrilled to have participated in. Thanks to them I have been working in Hollywood as a cinematographer for the last 3 years. The 6-month course taught me everything I would need to know in order to make a break in this business. They also showed me just how important it was to work as part of a team, which is vital in this industry. Just a quick thank you to Film Connection for helping me on their program. I have an interview with a small film house in Detroit next week and hope that what I have learned on my course will give me a chance in this studio. Thanks to the professional training I received from Film Connection I have managed to carve myself a career making short films and commercials in and around the Mid West. I work on a freelance basis and thanks to the contacts I made during my program I have a large and loyal client base. Not only did I learn all there was about film, I also learned how to balance the books and negotiate with executives and studio bosses. It was certainly money well spent and I have no problems recommending them.

Just wanted to say thank you to Film Connection from the big white north for all the help they gave me before, during and after I completed my 6-Month course. I was injured several years ago in a work related accident. I wanted to make accident prevention and other business related films for the many oil companies that reside near to my home in Banff, Alberta, Canada. I would like to concentrate on Health And Safety and training videos for in house and also at home use. My mentor not only taught me how to make and produce the films, but also how to promote and sell them to the many companies nearby and also further afield. The course was superb and fleshed out the basic knowledge I already had. I now make and market my own Health And Safety videos from home that are being utilized by companies up and down Canada. There is definitely an interest in these films and I hope my videos save someone the hurt and pain that a work related injury could bring. Thank you www.filmconnection.com.

Just over 3 months ago, my son Ethan enrolled with Film Connection on one of their mentor/ apprentice programs. This was one of his best decisions. He has definitely matured since he began the course. His entire attitude has changed, for the better. He says that he really enjoys the course and going by his mannerisms lately I would have to agree. He says that it’s not easy; it is however fulfilling and rewarding. I just wish to say a quick thank you to Film connection and especially my mentor, Philip for giving me the opportunity to work in the industry that I have dreamed about since I was a kid. Unfortunately my family was not blessed with endless wealth so I was unable to go to university for 4 years. When a friend gave me the heads up about the FC program I jumped at the chance. Being a part time course meant that I could continue to work and do my course in the evenings and weekends. This is ideal for me. They also offered an easy payment scheme through Sallie Mae, which was very welcome. I can only hope that I find a suitable position after my course, but in the mean time thanks you www.filmconnection.com.

My parents are your standard working class folk. They have worked hard all their lives. They did not have the luxury of wealth in order to put me through 4 years of university in order to get a degree in cinematography. So, during and after high school I worked in a fast food delivery restaurant in order to save up the cash I would need to enroll with Film Connection. After I graduated I was able to find a full time job. Fortunately with film connection you can study in your spare time as the program is built around you. I work on real sets alongside real pros and my mentor gives me homework assignments that must be completed within a specified time. Then and only then you move on to the next stage. This is great as it instills discipline and teaches you to work to a deadline. I have no regrets about enrolling with www.filmconnection.com and I know that you wont either.

People told me that I needed to go to university for 4 years if I wanted to be qualified to work in the film business. They also said that studios were only interested in what diploma you had on your wall. What a crock. Studios don’t care if you went to some fancy college or if you went to Film School. All a studio boss is interested in is how qualified you are to do the job at hand. 3 Years ago I completed my 6 month mentor/ apprentice program with Film Connection and when I went to interviews I was told that they actually looked away from university grads as they tend to have a very narrow perspective when it comes to film making. They have taken on the quirks of their college professor and believed that only his way of thinking was correct, whereas someone who learned in an actual film studio setting was far more open to new ideas and thinking. Luckily, my mentor was a working professional who knew what he was doing. He passed on all his vast knowledge and also many inside tips. This knowledge came in handy when I interviewed for a position at a local studio here in Tucson, Arizona. My mentor came with me for moral support and we demonstrated what I had learned. Needless to say I got the job and have been working with them for three and a half years now. I am very happy where I am working and I take it they are happy with me. So, it doesn’t take fancy degrees to get work, it takes the ability to do the given job. Give www.filmconnection.com a call or email and with their training you will leave those narrow-minded university graduates far behind.

Thanks to the training I am receiving from Film Connection I should soon be working within the film business. I have always been fascinated by commercials so I was very happy when I was told that they could tailor a program that would concentrate on the commercial side of filmmaking. It not only deals with the actual filming, it also deals with promotion and marketing. This is perfect for me, as it will concentrate totally on what really drives me. My mentor is a really nice lady who has many years of experience making commercials on both a local and national level. She is going through just about everything I will need to know; fortunately she is giving me this knowledge a piece at a time, rather than bombarding me with information all at once. I have no hesitation in recommending www.filmconnection.com to friends and acquaintances.

Enrolling with film connection was THE best decision I have ever made, Period. There was so much I learned in just 6 moths of full hands on training in a genuine film set. I just want to say how much I enjoyed my 6-month program with film connection. I learned so much but also had so much fun in the process. I felt like a kid in a candy store the first time I went on set and was allowed to use the equipment. I swear you could hear me utter wheee. All the gear was brand-new and state of the art. The folks I was working with were very knowledgeable but also down to earth, helping this newbie get to grips with his new “toys”. At the grand old age of 28 I have decided to change my life. I have worked retail since leaving college. It was a safe career back then. It was also soul destroying and tedious. However, since the economic downturn the job has been a lot less secure what with shop closures and the credit crunch affecting sales. So 4 months ago I decided to look into a career as a sound technician. I had always been interested in the sound part of movies. A colleague gave me film connections telephone number and I arranged an interview. Having liked what I saw I decided to enroll. Fortunately I can study in my free time so I keep my day job, for now. For 3 months I have been working my butt off, studying and practicing my craft with my mentor. This has been THE most important thing I have ever done and I have no regrets. I know it’s gonna be a lot more work, more reading up, more listening to my mentor, but in the end I know it will be worth it. I just want to say thank you to film connection for their excellent mentor/ apprentice program. Although the course runs for a mere 6 months it was very intensive. I learned more in 6 months than a friend learned in 2 years at a competitors program. Although there was a great deal to learn and take in, my mentor made sure that I learned a bit at a time and tested me to ensure that I fully understood all that I had learned. I was also able to continue working during the course so that was great as it meant that I did not have a large debt after finishing the course. It gave me the qualifications, the knowledge and the confidence to work in this very competitive industry. Fortunately my qualifications are valued worldwide and I have been working in Germany for the last 3 years at a very prestigious production house just outside Hamburg. Thank you www.filmconnection.com for making it happen.

My husband and I have decided to enroll our son Matthew with film connection. Ever since he was tiny he has had a deep fascination with all things movie. He has just finished at high school with great scores so we have decided to treat him to the program they offer. It’s for 6 months and he can do it in his spare time (in between making his short films) He doesn’t know yet and it will be his birthday surprise. I know that he will be pleased because this course does exactly what he wants to do. Hopefully he will do well and make a successful career out of his love for movies. I’m so glad we got in touch with www.filmconnection.com

For as long as I can remember I wanted to make movies. Now, thanks to film connection this is something I will very soon be able to do professionally. I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth so Sallie Mae’s credit facility is a real blessing. It not only covered all of my tuition and books, it also covers a lot of my accommodation costs whilst I stud. Interest rates are competitive and I won’t need to begin repaying until I start working. Because of this I can concentrate on learning and not worry about finances. Thanks again film connection and Sally Mae.

I run a successful commercials making studio here in Wyoming and over the years have trained up several students from film connection. Let me tell you, they are taught everything they need to know, and I mean everything. I do not cut any corners as it is someone’s livelihood we are talking about. In my experience, there is no better way of learning than through the mentor/ apprentice program that film connection provides.
