Richard Hall - Hobbs, New Mexico

Richard Hall
Hobbs, New Mexico

With a keen interest in film making and also a love for natural history I had always been interested in making a natural history film. Having watched those fantastic BBC nature programs I have always wanted to follow in Sir David Attenborough’s footsteps. Thanks to www.filmconnection.com and my mentor Alison, I plan to be the next David Attenborough. Thanks to Gerald, my mentor I have made several short documentaries about the fauna and flora of New Mexico and have been showing them to several film makers. The response has been overwhelmingly positive and now I’m well on my way to being a professional wildlife documentary maker. I’m off to Alaska shortly to make a film about Humpbacked Whales. I can’t wait.

Thank you Gerald and www.filmconnection.com.

Danny Rampling - Falmouth, Massachusetts

Danny Rampling
Falmouth, Massachusetts

I live in Massachusetts and as a kid I was lucky enough to watch them filming some scenes from the series Dawson’s Creek nearby. Sure it was great to see the cast and watch them acting, but my big buzz was watching all the back stage stuff, the director shouting “Action” the camera man deciding which lens to use, the sound engineer, even the runner. The atmosphere was electric. As soon as I finished high school I enrolled with www.filmconnection.com I want to be a camera man, and with the help of Jason, my Mentor I’m well on my way to fulfilling that. There’s a hell of a lot to learn, but Jason breaks it all down into smaller bite sized chunks which is easier for me to digest and take in. I’m off to New York City next month to watch them film CSI New York and hopefully speak and get advice from cast and crew. Thank you www.filmconnection.com.

Thanks to www.filmconnection.com I’m going to be doing what most people can only dream about. The curriculum is based around my lifestyle and not the other way around. The one on one mentoring is fantastic as my mentor is so keen to pass on all those little nuggets of information you simply cannot get in a classroom. Thanks to their connections I will be traveling to Hollywood to watch an actual movie being made. The opportunity of a lifetime. I cant wait. Thank you filmconnection.

Steve Yardley - Des Moines, Iowa

I have always wanted to be a cameraman ever since I was a toddler, and thanks to www.filmconnection.com I soon will be. And thanks to their easy finance offers I can afford to. Their curriculum is tailored to me, which is great because I work part time in a movie rental store (I know, ironic isn’t it) Maybe I will be the new Quentin Tarantino. I’ve learned all aspects of movie photography. There is a lot to learn, but thanks to Guy, my mentor is easy to take it all in. It’s actually fun as well, which makes a huge difference. This keeps my motivation level high. I have nothing but praise for Guy and filmconnection. Check them out.
