have been on my film connection program for just over 4 months now. I’m based in Nevada, but I am doing my course near Los Angeles, California. My mentor is Tony and he really is a great guy. He has dissected the film industry for me so that I understand each and every aspect of it. The work is hard; I won’t lie about that, but also greatly rewarding. Making your own short movie (mine was about urban art) and watch it grow from an idea to the finished film is just so amazing. He has also been introducing me to the many people he knows within the film making industry, taking me on shoots. He has even recommended reading material of specific movies to watch, knowing these may help me. I have 2 more months to go and everything is going much better than I could ever have imagined. I’m so glad I never listened to all the naysayers on some of the forums I visited and made up my own mind. I would be kicking myself if I had not taken the chance. This is all I ask, do your own research. Study the pro’s and con’s for yourself, don’t listen to hearsay and groundless innuendo and accusations from the ill informed or merely bitter.

My name is Eddie, I run a very successful commercial making company here in Wichita, Kansas. 18 months ago I was introduced to a young man by the name of Simon by William, a mentor with www.filmconnection.com. For six months William taught Simon everything there was to know about making commercials for TV. From filming to editing, and everything in between. Even from an early stage I could see that bright spark of determination in Simon’s eyes and I knew he would go far in this business. He was here so much I swear he must have been sleeping here somewhere. Even when he wasn’t working he could be found here or at a shoot watching, taking notes and asking questions. We when his 6 month program finished I practically tripped over myself in the rush to hire him, I knew if I didn’t, someone would and I would spend the rest of my life kicking myself for letting him slip away. He’s been with us for a year now and I could not be happier. I thank www.filmconnection.com and William for bringing this ray of light my way. And I thank Simon for his hard work and determination.

I have been enrolled in www.filmconnection,com here in Denver , Colorado for 4 months now and I am really enjoying it. I enjoy working alongside professionals in a real movie set. And when I say working alongside, I really mean it and not just running to get the director coffee or sandwiches. I’ve never been a fan of classrooms, had far too much of that at school, so I was thrilled when they explained that most of my study would be hands on. I have a mentor, Joseph and he has been working in film for many years so knows exactly what he’s talking about. He is also introducing me to many of his colleagues and business acquaintances within the business, which is a big bonus as it is well known that many people get hired on word of mouth as much as experience, so long as you know what you are doing that is. If you are seriously considering a career in film I strongly suggest that you give these folks a call. It may not be for you, but then again it could be the best decision you will EVER make. I have just enrolled with www.filmconnection.com and I couldn’t be happier. They sat me down and went through all my options. They asked me exactly where I saw myself in, say 5 years time. They explained that the curriculum would be tailored to suit me and my lifestyle, which is great because I work part time at a local dealership. They also introduced me to my mentor Isaac, who will teach me all I need to know about the movie making business. He has many years of experience both in Hollywood and also in Europe. This was perfect as I very much admire European film maker’s especially French film makers such as Luc Besson and newcomer Pierre Morel. They both possess the directing style that I would like to utilize. The other great thing is that they have an easy payment system so that you can pay it off in low installments, this is a great weight off my mind, allowing me to concentrate on my studies and not how I’m going to pay for it.
