Thanks to the professional training I received from Film Connection I have managed to carve myself a career making short films and commercials in and around the Mid West. Just wanted to say thank you to Film Connection from the big white north for all the help they gave me before, during and after I completed my 6-Month course. I was injured several years ago in a work related accident. I wanted to make accident prevention and other business related films for the many oil companies that reside near to my home in Banff, Alberta, Canada. I would like to concentrate on Health And Safety and training videos for in house and also at home use. My mentor not only taught me how to make and produce the films, but also how to promote and sell them to the many companies nearby and also further afield. The course was superb and fleshed out the basic knowledge I already had. I now make and market my own Health And Safety videos from home that are being utilized by companies up and down Canada. Just over 3 months ago, my son Ethan enrolled with Film Connection on one of their mentor/ apprentice programs. This was one of his best decisions. He has definitely matured since he began the course. His entire attitude has changed, for the better. He says that he really enjoys the course and going by his mannerisms lately I would have to agree. He says that it’s not easy; it is however fulfilling and rewarding. I just wish to say a quick thank you to Film connection and especially my mentor, Philip for giving me the opportunity to work in the industry that I have dreamed about since I was a kid. Unfortunately my family was not blessed with endless wealth so I was unable to go to university for 4 years. When a friend gave me the heads up about the FC program I jumped at the chance. Being a part time course meant that I could continue to work and do my course in the evenings and weekends. This is ideal for me.
