Thank you Film connection for giving me the head start I needed in the commercial making business. Thanks to the great training I received at the hands of my mentor Greg I was qualified to work in commercial advertising. I not only learned how to make an actual commercial but I also learned how to market my product and how to deal with the studios. This was invaluable as it gave me the confidence I needed in order to deal with the big wigs and moneymen. It not only taught me how to work as part of a team, it also showed me how to work on my own initiative.
Thank you again www.filmconnection.com.

My parents are your standard working class folk. They have worked hard all their lives. They did not have the luxury of wealth in order to put me through 4 years of university in order to get a degree in cinematography. So, during and after high school I worked in a fast food delivery restaurant in order to save up the cash I would need to enroll with Film Connection. After I graduated I was able to find a full time job. Fortunately with film connection you can study in your spare time as the program is built around you. I work on real sets alongside real pros and my mentor gives me homework assignments that must be completed within a specified time. Then and only then you move on to the next stage. This is great as it instills discipline and teaches you to work to a deadline. I have no regrets about enrolling with www.filmconnection.com and I know that you wont either.

People told me that I needed to go to university for 4 years if I wanted to be qualified to work in the film business. They also said that studios were only interested in what diploma you had on your wall. What a crock. Studios don’t care if you went to some fancy college or if you went to Film School. All a studio boss is interested in is how qualified you are to do the job at hand. 3 Years ago I completed my 6 month mentor/ apprentice program with Film Connection and when I went to interviews I was told that they actually looked away from university grads as they tend to have a very narrow perspective when it comes to film making. They have taken on the quirks of their college professor and believed that only his way of thinking was correct, whereas someone who learned in an actual film studio setting was far more open to new ideas and thinking. Luckily, my mentor was a working professional who knew what he was doing. He passed on all his vast knowledge and also many inside tips. This knowledge came in handy when I interviewed for a position at a local studio here in Tucson, Arizona. My mentor came with me for moral support and we demonstrated what I had learned. Needless to say I got the job and have been working with them for three and a half years now. I am very happy where I am working and I take it they are happy with me. So, it doesn’t take fancy degrees to get work, it takes the ability to do the given job. Give www.filmconnection.com a call or email and with their training you will leave those narrow-minded university graduates far behind.

Thanks to the training I am receiving from Film Connection I should soon be working within the film business. I have always been fascinated by commercials so I was very happy when I was told that they could tailor a program that would concentrate on the commercial side of filmmaking. It not only deals with the actual filming, it also deals with promotion and marketing. This is perfect for me, as it will concentrate totally on what really drives me. My mentor is a really nice lady who has many years of experience making commercials on both a local and national level. She is going through just about everything I will need to know; fortunately she is giving me this knowledge a piece at a time, rather than bombarding me with information all at once. I have no hesitation in recommending www.filmconnection.com to friends and acquaintances.

Thank you film connection for making my dreams come true. Just to have the chance to be a part of this electrifying industry is every kids dream. It’s not all champagne and caviar though. There is a hell of a lot of work to be done before you will even be considered as a member of a film crew. Luckily my mentor, Joe is going through everything I will need to know in order to be taken seriously. I want to concentrate on the sound design side of things so Joe has really been showing me exactly what I need to be doing and what I should not be. I still have a long way to go, but I am confident that I will do OK thanks to www.filmconnection.com.

Thank you to film connection for helping me to be what I want to be, a cinematographer. Thanks to the thorough training I received from my mentor I was physically and mentally prepared for the challenges involved. I was tutored in all aspects of cinematography from someone who actually knew what he was talking about. He showed me the right way and also the wrong way to do things thus ensuring I do not make those mistakes. He also showed me how to work as part of a team and also how to work on my own initiative. The stuff I have learn will be invaluable in the future. Thanks again www.filmconnection.com.

I just wanted to say thank you film connection for helping me so much. The program is very hands on, which is great for me as I was never really into classroom studies. My mentor has gone through just about everything connected with making movies. I have been working on several sets alongside real working professionals, picking up all sorts of tidbits of information. He has also given me an extensive list of books to read up on. I still have 2 months to go on my course but can honestly say that so far it has been a lot of fun, hard work but fun. Thank you www.filmconnection.com.
